The extended look and release date for Monster Tribe were shown during the Freedom Games 2022 Showcase on June 10, 2022. Developer Boundless Games gave us a major look at the game and we eventually also got a release date to go with it, set for mid-August 2022. If you want to explore a new world in which you can collect creatures and battle them against other collections, then Monster Tribe just might be the game to check out. There’s quite a bit of grinding to be expected, however, you’ll be able to enjoy exploring various areas with hidden secrets while you’re at it, so it won’t feel incredibly tedious.Pokemon may be one of the most recognizable monster collector and battler games out there, but it doesn’t own the genre. With a thick and exciting plot paired with thrilling gameplay that requires intensive strategizing, Monster Tribe offers an abundance of features that make it a worthwhile game to play. As you progress through the game, you’ll be able to unravel the lore-filled plotline with twists and turns where you least expect them. While the game does require quite a bit of grinding in order to progress further - especially when it comes to finding resources to level up your monsters’ skills and abilities - the process is rewarding. The resources you find can also be used to encourage mutations for your creatures. Each area of the map has its own resources that you can collect in order to strengthen your creatures’ abilities. The sizable map is presented in an adorable pixel art style that’s quite familiar to fans of classic arcade games or the original Pokemon series. In this turn-based RPG, you will have to gather your monsters into teams and battle against other creatures that lurk around the island. There are up to 72 different creature types to collect, with each one having its own abilities and unique mutations. As a sage, your character will have the ability to call forth these creatures and allow them to revert back to their original forms. Monster Tribe takes place on an island called Akama, where the Ateyan have long been wiped out and forced into becoming motes of light.
